A Passion Revealed

It was beautiful outside yesterday, so we went for a family hike to our favorite spot: Red Rocks in Boulder. We left ourselves plenty of time to explore, climb rocks, and, of course, have snacks. During our two hours on and around the rocks, little H decided to unleash her inner climber on us. Oh my. She means business. It was so fun to watch her fearlessly attempt things we didn't think capable for her two-year-old self. We all celebrated her feats and had a wonderful time outside as a family. Here's to the unveiling of our skills and passions!

A celebrating H's first solo scramble (little did we know, this was just the beginning)
Go, baby girl!

Here's the scene of the more "intense" climbing. We could not believe some of the things she wanted to try!
Plotting her next move

Pointing to how high we climbed. What a memorable adventure!
In other news: We introduced the girls to the Animated Robin Hood from the 80s last week. I was ridiculously excited about it. The girls fully embraced it, which made my mama heart just sing. All of them wanted to be Maid Marian. (Who wouldn't?) They don't seem to mind that she's a fox. I love my family. And I love Robin Hood. Even if he is a fox.

Aloha, Winter

As I write these words on the fourth of March, I am wrapped in a blanket sipping hot coffee as the wind rages outside. I am very comforted by the fact that this is the month where the calendar says spring begins. This is good news, folks, because winter is not my favorite season of the year. However, it is a season where Zenz Life still gets lived to the fullest. So I rejoice in that, and I share these little goodies with you today as I reflect on the past few (cold) months of our life together.
Celebrating my birthday with my love.
And my little loves.
Mr. Potato Head and the Zenz girls
The Botanic Gardens. A welcome reprieve in the middle of February.
M at 6 and almost 1/2. Love you to the moon, sweet girl.
E at 4 1/2. Your joy lights me up.

Oh my goodness, girl. It's more than I can handle.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Library, we love you.
E, rocking her upper- and lowercase letters.

Sunglasses are our good friends.

E at 2 1/2. Littlest one, we love watching your adorable personality unfold.

Amazing, those little snowflakes.
So, we got a lot of snow this month.

A whole lot.
Thanks, Pinterest, for making me feel cool this Valentine's Day.
At the Museum of Nature and Science. The girls wanted to live in this little house. For real.

E's face says it all. That's where we like grizzlies. Stuffed and behind glass. Thanks.

Get after it, little lady. Go change the world.

E reads her first words!

Well hello, collection on our kitchen floor.

What in the world is going on here?
That's my girl.

Happy 2012!
Gma made sure the girls were never lacking popsicles.
Chatting with my love

It's so fun to watch the girls play with toys from my childhood.
Gma treated the girls to some very fancy manicures and pedicures. So sweet.
