And We're Back

Whew! Summer's almost over, so I thought I'd share what we've been up to before it's completely passed us by.

First of all, H is allllllllmost walking. This video is a few weeks old. She's now topping out at about six to eight steps at a time, with good solid balance-recovery pauses in between groups of steps. We're thinking it will be any day now that she decides walking is the way to go full time. We're proud of you, little lady.



Our theme this summer has been to play as much as possible...just really soak up the moments, make adventurous memories, and look each other in the eye. It's actually been happening, and it's been so rich. So refreshing. We've got lots of photos to share of our times with friends (which I'll post on Facebook sometime soon, I hope!), but this series focuses on Zenz Life, and lots of it.

One Year Ago Today

Baby H joined our family on this day in 2009, and we are rejoicing over this amazing first year with her. What a sweet little girl she is, and oh how we love her. She's got this beautiful strawberry blond hair right now, two proud little bottom teeth, a contagious giggle, and is really thinking about walking soon. Happy Birthday, Miss H! You light up our family, baby girl.

Blue Eyes Everywhere

Everyone in my family has blue eyes except me. I've dealt with it, and have fully embraced my unique green eyes. These photos really capture the baby blue party going on around me every day. Cuties all over the place.

Mustaches Are Not My Favorite

So A grew his annual "Januhairy" beard this year. Instead of shaving it off in February like normal, it lasted until April this year. Whoa. Overall, I actually embraced it and thought he looked quite handsome and rugged. Before the facial hair removal was complete, A decided to sport a 'stache for a few days. Wow. The girls helped him to not feel alone.

10 Months Old Today

It's crazy to look at the calendar and find that Baby H is already 10 months old. In just two months, our kids will be 1, 2, and 4! Little Miss H, we love you so. We can't imagine family life without you. Thank you for your smiles, your giggles, and your little wave when you say "Hi." We love your strawberry blond hair, the cute way you pull up on all the furniture to try to stand up, your genuine interest in what everyone else in the family is doing, and your admiration for peas. Happy 10 months, beautiful girl.
