Smarty Party!

We've kicked off Kindergarten at our house, where we enthusiastically refer to "school at home" as "Smarty Party." Mercy is SO excited. She is most focused on learning to write her lowercase letters in these early weeks of school, and she is totally rocking them. All three girls love our nature walks, calendar time, and goofy phonics songs. Here's to a lifelong love for learning!

Smoothie Girls

The girls get pretty giddy when A makes them his famous smoothies. Here they are, enjoying every bit of his latest yummy creation.

And We're Back

Whew! Summer's almost over, so I thought I'd share what we've been up to before it's completely passed us by.

First of all, H is allllllllmost walking. This video is a few weeks old. She's now topping out at about six to eight steps at a time, with good solid balance-recovery pauses in between groups of steps. We're thinking it will be any day now that she decides walking is the way to go full time. We're proud of you, little lady.



Our theme this summer has been to play as much as possible...just really soak up the moments, make adventurous memories, and look each other in the eye. It's actually been happening, and it's been so rich. So refreshing. We've got lots of photos to share of our times with friends (which I'll post on Facebook sometime soon, I hope!), but this series focuses on Zenz Life, and lots of it.

One Year Ago Today

Baby H joined our family on this day in 2009, and we are rejoicing over this amazing first year with her. What a sweet little girl she is, and oh how we love her. She's got this beautiful strawberry blond hair right now, two proud little bottom teeth, a contagious giggle, and is really thinking about walking soon. Happy Birthday, Miss H! You light up our family, baby girl.
