The girls and I had the oh-so-special opportunity to spend time with Dad, Mimi, and Amy (who flew in from CA) in Tennessee this past week. It was such a gift. Every moment.
Here we go!
We made it!
Quality time with Gpa
Cuddles with Gma
New Year's Day dinner
Chillin' with Aunt Amy
Loved the library.
Pizza and movie night
We love crafts.
Laughing with Gma and Gpa
Bowling it up.
Making cookies with Gma
Cards are a pretty big deal at Dad and Mimi's house.
Happy 2012!
Gma made sure the girls were never lacking popsicles.
Chatting with my love
It's so fun to watch the girls play with toys from my childhood.
Gma treated the girls to some very fancy manicures and pedicures. So sweet.
3D movie night!
Buddies
See you next time, Tennessee! We love you, Dad and Mimi!
Well, it's official. M and E are more "macho chick" (A's term of endearment for tough girls) than me. They have both now slept in a snow cave––something I may have interest in doing one day, but not today, folks.
We got tons of snow last week, so A and the girls decided to build their own snow cave in the backyard.
M got to sleep in the snow cave on Christmas Eve, and E had her turn on Christmas night.
A is still beaming about it, the girls are still over the moon about it, and I think they are all crazy...I mean, incredibly adventurous.
The snow cave in all its glory
M ready to sleep
M still ready to sleep
Good night!
M's morning report
Good morning! (Notice the happy hot chocolate smile left from the delicious treat our amazing neighbors Monica and Stephen brought M and A.)
We wish you a blessed Christmas this year. We're so thankful to be celebrating Jesus, our Savior Servant King. Here are a few shots of our little clan. The closest thing we have to a dignified family photograph is the combination of what you see below.
2012 will be a milestone year for Mr. Zenz and me. We'll celebrate 10 years of marriage in September, and we are planning a fantastic getaway. Um, yes please.
In honor of the big 10, I pulled out my wedding dress the other day to show the girls. (Sadly, I don't think I've worn it since our wedding day, probably because I've been pregnant a few times and have been quite afraid I might break the zipper if I tried to squeeze it on.) Lo and behold, it fit. And the girls were enchanted by it. I admit I was, too.
And look at that hunk of a man in the final photo. I just wish he'd loosen up a little and have some fun.
